Hello friends,
I hope you’re all having a terrific summer. I’ve been having an amazing time, and I wanted to share some of what’s been going on.
Back in May I was honored by Idaho Family Strong as a “Champion of the Family”. Thank you to Julianne Young, director for that excellent organization. Make sure to check out their website at idahofamilystrong.org.
Last week I flew out to Washington DC to attend the confirmation hearing for my friend Alex Adams, who is currently the director of the Idaho Dept. of Health and Welfare. President Trump has nominated Alex to serve as Assistant Secretary for Family Support under Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Alex did a great job in the hearing, and I know he’ll do great work for America.
Speaking of RFK, he came out to Idaho last week to talk about how to Make America Healthy Again. I was pleased to spend two days with Secretary Kennedy celebrating our Medical Freedom Act that prevents schools from mandating any vaccine to attend and discussing potential ideas for our upcoming session. I’m looking forward to the continuous robust conversation to make sure Idaho is and continue to be the most MAHA state in the union.
I was back in Boise last Thursday for the first meeting of the new DOGE Task Force, which is taking a look at how we can cut and consolidate state government and save taxpayers money. We had a great meeting, learning how Arkansas reformed their government, and our legislative staffer presented the full scope of how big Idaho’s government has become.
If you have ideas on what we can do to cut the size and scope of state government, submit them here: https://legislature.idaho.gov/doge/
Thanks Dan Murphy for the great picture!
It’s not been all about work, though. Last month my family and I visited Alaska. What a great state! Check out the fish I caught:
Don’t forget my golf tournament coming up this October. It would be great to see you on the course at Eagle Hills. More information below in the flier:
Thank you for your support. I’m honored to represent the citizens of Gem County and Eagle in the Legislature. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to the 2026 legislative session. Subscribe and share this newsletter to stay in the know!
